The Neom – Dam System in Trojena project involves the construction of three dams and a man-made, freshwater lake, which will be the largest architecturally crafted body of water in Saudi Arabia, and a central feature of Trojena’s masterplan.  

Webuild will also construct The Bow, an architectural structure that will extend the surface of the lake beyond the front of the main dam. 

The main dam, made of roller-compacted concrete (RCC), will be 145 m high and 475 m long, with a volume of approximately 2.7 million cubic metres. 

The other two dams – one made from rock, the other from RCC – will have volumes of 4.3 million and 1 million cubic metres, respectively. 

The Lake, covering an area of 1.5 km2, will be nestled between the main dam and the crafted western edge with Mountain Stage

The Bow, the most complex part of the project, will involve extending the Lake’s surface 75,000 m2 beyond the face of the main dam and will have a maximum internal height of 120 m. Its construction will require approximately 1.5 million cubic metres of concrete and 40,000 tonnes of steel works.
